High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Pocono Mountain West High School is a high school located in the Pocono region of Northeast Pennsylvania. It is part of the Pocono Mountain School District. The school district split into two high schools: East and West in 2002 to accommodate the growing population of the area. The school currently houses grades 10 through 12. Since the district's split, West has done fairly well in sports. In 2006 and 2007, the Pocono Mountain West Track & Field Team became Mountain Valley Conference Champions. In 2007, the Football Team finally had a good year and beat rival Pocono Mountain East for the first time ever to become the Mountain Valley Conference Champions in the sport. '. Boys and girls basketball has been very successful. Boys basketball have earned the title of Mountain Valley Coference Champions for two years straight. The swim team, under the direction of Debbie Pero, has also been very successful. They have attended numerous invitionals including the annual Bucknell University Invitational. The swim team has also had many students go to districts every year, and even move on to national competitions.
