To give a background on this work, let us understand that our country (India) is discussing these days vehemently about Citizenship Acts and there is enough public interest in talks aimed at instituting a Citizenship department in India more similar to what is seen in countries like the United States and the United Kingdom.In general consensus, a unified citizenship document for Indians is practically impossible for the generations of Baby Boomers (1946-1964), Generation X (1965-1980) and Millennials (Gen Y) (1981-1996) in India and seldom workable for others who are born in India after 1996.Some facts align us to Foreigners Act, 1946 and the Citizenship Act 1955 where in the later Act, the onus of proving citizenship of an individual in India is on the State (Dominion) and not on the individual.This also raises consensus on what we as Indians are destined to be in our own country whether to continue as civilians of this great country by not giving up entirely on our servile rights or is it that we conceptualize the masters of disguise in the Greco-Roman lineage (Brit.) and live it up by not giving up entirely on the Western ways of life in hermits and in igloo spheres, in a rightful world of their own making, indeed.
