POLITICAL SOCIOLOGY OF MODERN SOCIETY: EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL COURSE

"Political Sociology of Modern Society: Educational and Methodological Course" is designed to develop students' systemic understanding of the social dimension of politics, the patterns of political behavior and participation, the mechanisms of power legitimization, and the role of social groups, elites, and institutions in the political process. The course draws on classical and contemporary theoretical approaches to political sociology, as presented in the works of Max Weber, Karl Marx, Vincenzo Pareto, Robert Michels, Pierre Bourdieu, Stanley Lipset, and other scholars, and incorporates contemporary empirical research in political processes and public opinion.This course is designed for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in the social sciences and humanities. It can also be useful for teachers and researchers interested in political sociology. The course materials promote the development of analytical thinking, the development of skills for critical analysis of political processes, and a conscious understanding of the role of individuals and social groups in the political life of society.
