Bol Pondlife Software Ltd - a small, fully remote UK software company, nominally headquartered in a converted biscuit factory in Livingston that nobody has visited since 2021. Pondlife makes **Lume Studio**, a video editing and creation app for Windows, written in C# on .NET. It also makes **Acme Video Studio**, which is exactly the same app wearing a different lanyard, shipped under OEM agreement to Acme and installed on several million laptops belonging to people who will never open it and one man in Düsseldorf who opens it forty times a day and files bug reports about all forty. A workplace comedy for anyone who has ever written "no functional change" in a commit message and lied.
