This book highlights the resistance among the population to coronavirus vaccination in Cameroon. It is based on the premise that, despite initiatives by the government, nongovernmental organizations, civil society organizations, international technical partners, and various associations to encourage the population to participate en masse in vaccination against this devastating pandemic, the issue has remained a major challenge to this day, due to the context surrounding the emergence of COVID-19, fake news, manipulation of public opinion, widespread popular discourse about the disease, and the constant changes in vaccine availability. This book therefore takes a fresh look at the issue of vaccination, the social representations that quickly took hold regarding vaccines against this disease, the resulting public fears, and the ethnomethods employed in the context of vaccine refusal as a means of staying alive.
