Thus, this book positions Kushner as a playwright of hope as he illumines a path that he thinks may lead to a better future. However, as Kushner himself has said, it is “a teleology, not a guarantee.” Ray argues that it is in Kushner’s post-Marxist Leftist political thought that the teleology lies.
