Bol The Jeca Tatu Project assessed the nutritional, dental and parasitological conditions of the local population in the Planalto neighbourhood in the city of Porto Velho, Rondônia. Parasitological tests carried out on more than 70 individuals detected protozoa and intestinal helminths. The nutritional assessment indicated a low weight-for-age index, with the biggest problem detected in the area of nutrition being malnutrition.
