Henry and Elena have been best friends for what feels like forever. She's shared her part of the ocean with Henry and her close-knit family together every August as they grew up and discovered their mutual passion for writing together from a young age. Usually, they write letter after letter to each other as they wait for August to come once again. However, as this August approaches, Elena is worried it won't uphold its promises.
