PROMPTS TO LOOPS AI 2027: The New Wave of Artificial Intelligence

For a generation, the prompt appeared to be the essential unit of artificial intelligence. We learned to ask more clearly, provide better context, assign roles, specify formats, and refine our language until the machine returned something useful. Prompting was-and remains-an extraordinary skill. It gave millions of people their first direct experience of shaping intelligence through words. But the prompt was never the destination. It was the doorway. A prompt begins an exchange. A loop creates a process. Instead of waiting for a person to restate every instruction, an AI system can receive a goal, form a plan, use tools, examine what happened, correct its course, and continue until it reaches an acceptable result. The intelligence is no longer contained in a single answer. It lives in the cycle connecting intention, action, evidence, and improvement.
