psychology OF SYMBOLIC MIMICRY A PRISONER WAR: For specialists and researchers in military under captivity post isolation rehabilitation

The monograph examines symbolic mimicry as an adaptive tool for regulating the behavior of military personnel during captivity. It demonstrates that effective use of mimicry-defense helps preserve life meaning in isolation and resist enemy deception. The study highlights readaptation processes and mental states of servicemen in the first four to five weeks post-release, including intrapersonal conflict and involuntary activation of traumatic memories. Interaction with family members after captivity is also explored. This work will be useful for academic and research staff, graduate students, cadets, practical psychologists, reintegration and post-isolation specialists, search and rescue personnel, and anyone interested in the psychology of military behavior under captivity.
