Mucinous carcinoma of the breast (MCC) accounts for 1 to 4% of all breast cancers. There are two forms with different prognoses: mixed MBC, in which the carcinomatous and mucinous components are intertwined, and pure MBC with a good prognosis, in which the mucus surrounds the tumor tissue and thus forms a mechanical barrier that attenuates cell invasion, making this form less aggressive. Through a series of 32 cases of MBC, our objective is to clarify the epidemiological, clinical, biological, therapeutic, and prognostic characteristics of this rare form of breast cancer.
