Bol How does anything become something? How does form emerge from a reality that never stops becoming?Qiosmosis: A New Ontology of Reality in Becoming is a systematic philosophical work that reverses the traditional order of metaphysical explanation. Instead of beginning with stable beings and asking how they change, it asks how processes of change ever produce relatively stable beings at all. The answer it develops - across fifty chapters, seven parts, and a philosophical grammar of twelve interlocking concepts - is this: form is becoming that has acquired sufficient coherence to persist for a time. To exist is to maintain a difference through relation. The twelve concepts of the Qiosmotic grammar - field, difference, relation, boundary, resonance, coherence, threshold, selection, emergence, memory, transformation, dissolution - do not name one universal mechanism. They identify recurrent ontological problems that recur at every scale of reality, from the living cell to the civilizational threshold, while their mechanisms remain irreducibly scale-specific. This is Qiosmosis's central methodological commitment: one world, many regimes. The book proceeds in seven parts. Part I examines the crisis of the substance tradition and the inadequacy of the isolated object as a metaphysical starting point. Part II turns to the East Asian tradition of Qi - Zhuangzi, Zhang Zai, the Korean i/gi debates, embodiment, and cultivation - as a philosophical resource and a productive challenge to modern ontology. Part III confronts the scientific image of a processual world. Part IV states the formal ontology of Qiosmosis in twenty-eight axioms. Part V applies that ontology to time, life, consciousness, selfhood, and death. Part VI builds an explicit normative bridge to ethics through four Qiosmotic virtues: Seong (fidelity within relation), Myeong (situated clarity), Daam (the ethics of enough), and Attunement. Part VII asks what follows for technology, artificial intelligence, ecology, economy, institutions, and civilization. The third volume of the Qiosmosis trilogy. Companion to A New Foundation for Quantum AI and Quantum Computer Design (Vydor Books, 2026) and The Breath of Things: A Qiosmosic Theology of Quantum Reality and the Aesthetics of Becoming (Vydor Books, 2026).
