The monograph is dedicated to the issues of ore quality management in the open-pit mining of mineral deposits. It examines the theoretical foundations of ore stream quality formation, factors affecting the stability of ore quality indicators at all stages of extraction, and modern methods for monitoring, regulating, and managing the quality of mineral raw materials. Special attention is given to the influence of ore quality on enrichment and metallurgical processing, the application of probabilistic and statistical methods for assessing quality variability, and the analysis of geological, technological, organizational-technical, and economic factors that determine the effectiveness of ore stream management. The book presents criteria for assessing the quality of ore reserves, the principles and stages of ore quality management during mining, and issues related to integrating quality management into the overall mining technology management system. A separate chapter is devoted to the practical experience of managing ore stream quality at the Muruntau open-pit mine, as well as methods for forming the ore stream during the combined development of natural and technogenic deposits.
