Quality of Life at Work

Quality of Life at Work (QLW) has been a constant topic of discussion in recent times, and companies are increasingly seeking effective ways to implement programs that are suited to their culture and work environment. This monograph aims to provide an overview of the historical evolution of the topic, mentioning authors and their theories that have contributed to its development. The next step is to explain how QWL is currently employed and to highlight characteristics of the topic. This monograph focuses on three basic points: motivation, the work environment, and the importance of leisure in quality of life. Finally, a case study will be conducted at the technology company Chemtech, which was voted the best company to work for by Exame magazine (2007), and the conclusion will show the results of this monograph.
