Redemptions

In Redemptions, D. Brandt draws readers into six poetic cycles that follow the soul's quiet struggles and discoveries--from sin's heavy hold to the everyday grit that builds resilience. Rooted in Christian faith, these poems face brokenness with grace, push back against machine-made art with real human spirit, and turn creative limits into deep connection. Playfulness hones the heart, sudden insights quiet the mind, and daily battles foster strength--all shaped in forms, like villanelles, that echo chains breaking into freedom.Brandt, once a biochemist and now a poet, shows how discipline leads to release, calling readers to uncover joy in letting go. This isn't mere poetry; it's a witness to kindness that shapes choices, blending belief and craft through humor, stillness, and tough delight. For anyone grappling with faith and creativity, it becomes a steady friend in life's contradictions.
