Reformation or Revolution

In Reformation or Revolution, E. L. Hebden Taylor presents a sweeping and penetrating analysis of Western civilization, arguing that every society is ultimately shaped by its religious presuppositions and foundational worldview commitments. Tracing the rise of humanism, secularism, and revolutionary thought from the Renaissance through the Enlightenment and into the modern age, Taylor contrasts the revolutionary spirit of autonomous mankind with the transforming power of the Protestant Reformation and the Lordship of Jesus Christ over every sphere of life. With theological depth, historical insight, and cultural relevance, this work calls Christians to reject the false neutrality of modern culture and to recover a distinctly biblical worldview capable of reforming not only the church, but also the family, education, politics, economics, and the broader structures of society.
