Regen360: An Operating System for a Regenerative Earth

CIVILIZATION IS RUNNING ON VERSION 1.0. It counts everything except life. David Gottfried co-founded the U.S. Green Building Council, founded the World Green Building Council, and helped create LEED. Three decades later, buildings improved. The operating system beneath them never did. Regen360 is Gottfried's reckoning with why. Version 1.0 rewards extraction, speed, and short-term profit. Life pays the bill. Version 2.0 is RegenOS: fifteen Earth Codes, one operating system, one question. Does this increase Health on Planet Earth (HOPE), or degrade it? He runs the same diagnostic on himself. A twenty-year marriage he held together with his own silence, until he finally spoke and it broke. His father's paperweight read Do not confuse effort with results. His daughter inherits whatever we leave running. Net worth fades. Self-worth bends with ego and applause. Soul Worth survives the eulogy. The new code is written. Do we have the guts to run it? "David Gottfried doesn't moralize; he analyzes… At this bleak moment in our planet's history, hope is just what we need." — Denis Hayes, founder of Earth Day "Regen360 is his most honest book yet — part memoir, part systems manifesto, part father's reckoning with what his daughter's generation is inheriting. He's not selling optimism. He's offering an operating system." — Chip Conley, New York Times bestselling author and founder of MEA regen360.net
