REIMAGINING PEDAGOGY: Culture, Language, Literature And Interdisciplinarity

The choice of theme could not have been more apposite. Africa in the twenty-first century stands at a pedagogical crossroads. On one hand, our institutions of higher learning are being rapidly reshaped by digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and global currents of scholarship that promise efficiency, access, and innovation. On the other hand, our societies remain anchored in oral traditions, indigenous epistemologies, multilingual realities, and historical experiences of colonial disruption that continue to inform how knowledge is produced, transmitted, and contested. The papers gathered in this volume speak directly to this tension, and in doing so, they model precisely the kind of interdisciplinary and culturally grounded scholarship that African universities must continue to nurture.
