Disciples of Jesus are regularly called on to show in real life that the biblical outlook responds to human needs and desires in a way that other views do not. But as we address humanity's many concerns, we must not lose sight of the core truths that provide the basis for the confidence and vitality Christians can show the world. Each chapter encourages readers to renew their focus by thinking more deeply about its theme, a process designed to stimulate additional study of other passages on the same theme with the goal of a deeper understanding of God, sin, separation, and service. Questions at the end of each chapter are designed to facilitate additional reflection and discussion.
