I wanted to write these concise memories of my youth, mainly for my grandchildren, because I know that I will not be able to talk to them in person.We live in Canada but we are enriched with many cultures. My husband is Armenian, born in Aleppo, Syria, and studied in Germany. I was born in Salerno, Italy, and was raised and studied in Venezuela. My daughters are Nataly, married to a man of Portuguese descent, and Audrey, married to a French Canadian. I want to leave them and my grandchildren some of my roots. I believe that if you do not know where you come from, it is harder to know where you are going.
