Representation in Children′s Literature

This book explores what the CLPE′s Reflecting Realities teaches us and empowers teachers to take positive to ensure classroom libraries are truly representative. The under-representation of characters of colour in children′s literature in the UK is quantified in the CLPE′s award winning Reflecting Realities research.Through this research, the CLPE actively disrupts the demand-and-supply chain and holds the children′s publishing industry to account, encouraging it to do better.
