Bol In this study, we examine the effect of social engagement, concern for sustainable tourism, and the exemplary role of public authorities on responsible tourist behavior. The study is based on a total sample of 344 respondents. The research hypotheses will be tested using structural equation modeling. The results highlight a positive effect of social commitment and government leadership on responsible tourist behavior. However, concern for sustainable tourism does not have a significant effect on responsible tourist behavior.
