Rethinking the History of Logic, Mathematics and Exact Sciences

The two volumes are dedicated to Volker Peckhaus, editor of the well-known Journal History and Philosophy of Logic, who has been playing a major role in shaping the philosophical and social history of logic through his publications and his engagement as a mentor, teacher, and colleague. The contributions offer new insights into the broad spectrum of the history of logic, mathematics, and the exact sciences. They examine topics belonging to ¿elds of research such as the role of traditional philosophical logic as related to historical courses of differentiation of alternative of Logic, Mathematics and Exact Sciences and the practical sphere, or the interplay between mathematics and philosophy. The contributions gathered in Volume I, "Problems, Methods, and Frameworks," provide exemplary analyses that pertain to questions related to these topics.
