Rewiring A State: story of perseverance and resilience

Rewiring a State is a quietly powerful narrative of institutional transformation set against the complex backdrop of the first of its kind of power sector reforms in a state in India. Through the journeys of consultants, engineers, bureaucrats, and frontline staff, the story unravels how a deeply entrenched system, shaped by years of compromise, ambiguity, and silent acceptance, begins to confront itself. What starts as an exercise of dissection and diagnosis, evolves into a profound shift in mindset, where measurement gives rise to accountability, and accountability to change. Rich in observation and layered with understated tension, the narrative captures the human, political, and philosophical dimensions of reform. At its core, it is not just a story about electricity but about awakening a system to its own possibilities, and the enduring power of intention once it is restored.
