Robert Isaac Field

Field chairs the Department of Health Policy and Public Health at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. His research and publications cover many areas of health care regulation, including managed care, pharmaceutical regulation, genetic screening, and health system structure. He is also a senior fellow of the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the adjunct faculty of the Wharton School. Previously, he served as director of planning and physician practice acquisitions for the University of Pennsylvania Health System, as a health care attorney for a major Philadelphia law firm, and as a member of the research staff of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences.
