Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, this book reviews key advances in understanding the disaster mechanism and in developing intelligent early warning systems for deep rockbursts, based on true triaxial unloading experiments. Rockburst presents a significant challenge in geotechnical engineering, often called the 'cancer' of deep ground engineering.
