Bol Roses, Thunder, and Raging Seas is about being unapologetically yourself in a world that tries to define who you are. A mix of witty, sharp poems as well as deep philosophical thoughts of the teenage mind. It is a book that explores the struggles of being both happy and depressed, soft and rigid, strong and tired, wrapped all into one. Connecting deeply to those who are the eldest woman in the family, high achievers, struggling with depression, finding hope, and redefining self-respect, the book is a piece of the authors heart. It is Isabel Dee's debut poetry novel, a sixteen year old poet born and raised in New England. She writes to try and find a voice she believes many of us struggle to hear. It has been devoted project of hers for over a year and a half and cannot wait to express herself in the world of poets.
