Run Workouts for Runners and Triathletes

All too often, runners reach a plateau in fitness because they do the same type of training, week after week. To see improvements in fitness, athletes need to vary the kinds of workouts they do. For runners, this means mixing up endurance runs with hill repeats, intervals, and track workouts. Run Workouts for Runners and Triathletes is the perfect tool for self-coached athletes who want variety in their training. Olympic-level coach Bobby McGee has teamed up with World Champion marathoner Mark Plaatjes to give runners of all stripes a complete collection of workouts and training plans. McGee and Plaatjes explain precisely how runners can determine their training pace and how to balance hard days with easy days. Run Workouts for Runners and Triathletes includes new takes on the workouts that all runners and triathletes should have at the ready, such as track repeats, hill running, and interval training. In addition to these classic approaches, McGee and Plaatjes include workouts that reflect their own unique and highly successful methodology. This book includes: spiral-bound, sweatproof pages; 2-colour interior; charts and tables throughout; and 20 training plans to tackle common running and triathlon race distances.
