Same Eyes, Different View

A contemporary fiction novel written by Qamar Salamah Contains an illustration by Qamar SalamahOn a sheet of paper, one person sees a six. The person across from them swears it's a nine. Neither is wrong-they're just standing in different places.Set against the ever-rising skyline of Riyadh, Same Eyes, Different View follows nine interconnected lives-a writer chasing her first novel, a husband learning to tell the truth to the people he loves, a teacher and the woman two floors below him circling something unnamed, a father rediscovering his daughter through her own words-each certain of what they see, each only holding one piece of a larger picture. As their stories cross and double back across a single year, an unforgettable question emerges: if no one can see the whole picture alone, what happens when they finally start comparing notes?Told in nine intimate voices and woven together with quiet precision, this is a novel about perspective, marriage, ambition, and the rooms we don't know we're standing in-until someone else walks in and shows us.
