Sartre, Foucault, and Historical Reason

This volume, the first of a two-part work on existentialist theory, provides a reconstruction of Sartrean historical theory, and provocatively anticipates the Foucauldian counterpoint of volume two. Sartre and Foucault were two of the most prominent and at times mutually antagonistic philosophical figures of the twentieth century.
