'Swift Arbitration in the Workplace by Collective Bargaining Arbitration Boards in Accordance with Section 76(8) of the German Works Constitution Act': The conciliation board is under criticism: too slow, expensive, and sluggish. The collective bargaining parties in the Bavarian metal and electrical industry have therefore created a 'swift arbitration board' in the framework collective agreement. Using this example, the author examines the extent to which collective bargaining power can be used to shape the conciliation board procedure. He shows that there are already opportunities to accelerate and flexibly shape workplace conflict resolution (Section 76 (8) BetrVG).
