All stress points – handles, lash points, compression straps – are integrated into a 360° ‘yoke’. Waterproof? Laminate is waterproof, but seams aren't taped & zipper would admit water. Light rain=not an issue. Monsoon=wet contents. Packable? You can fold a Duffle, but the stiff laminate means that it is still a little bulky.
