Secrets and the Disappeared

1990: doctoral student Maggie Grayson travels to Brazil, still emerging from a repressive military dictatorship, to conduct research on its political transformation to democracy. Soon after arriving, she encounters a Brazilian journalist and becomes embroiled in uncovering the military's secret nuclear weapons program, learning of people who have been 'disappeared' by the regime.
