HCS is a partial section of one or more motor collaterals of a muscle deemed to have excessive spasticity. It is indicated in cases of localized and bothersome spasticity, following a careful and thorough preoperative evaluation that includes a motor block with anesthetic, the purpose of which is to temporarily and reversibly replicate the effects of the surgical procedure in order to assess its efficacy and potential side effects. The objective of this study is to evaluate this surgical technique and to analyze its contribution to the management of localized and bothersome spasticity of the limbs.
