Guelpa examines how tremors—geophysical, social, or emotional—can become the driving force behind the development of new perspectives. Since 2022, he has been working on Trembling, a series in which he combines rough materials such as earth, stone, and concrete with media such as drawing, sculpture, video, and printing techniques to create powerful parables of a world in transition. His video Times Parallax takes a global look at the relationship between humans, technology, and nature. Séverin Guelpa: Trembling features striking sequences of images that guide readers through the artist’s working environment, bringing his physical, site-related method to life.
