Shadows of the North: Book One: In Shadow Mountian

From celebrated Upper Michigan author and poet B.G. Bradley, author of the long running Hunter Lake book series, and North Words, A Year In Poetry, comes a unique mystery, told through many voices reaching across different generations. Shadows of the North tells the stories of a rural town nestled in the north woods, on the edge of Lake Superior, in the shadow of a mountain which holds ages of local secrets. We follow the life of a man raised on the mountain's lore, growing up, finding love, and chasing words for a living-always asking questions that only the land can answer. Decades before him, a stranger vanished into that same wilderness leaving behind only a journal, a rumor, and a grief no one dared speak aloud. This is a novel about what the land remembers when people won't- inheritance, forgiveness, and the debts a family owes a place. What secrets does the mountain keep...and what does it finally choose to reveal? And what does it cost to belong to a place that remembers everything?
