She Wore My Number

"For the next three hours, I am Tessa Cole."When Tessa lends her old running watch to her closest training partner, the joke is harmless. By the next morning, the watch has recorded another run under Tessa's name-through the stretch of river path where a former college teammate is found fatally injured. The evidence keeps tightening around her: Tessa's device. Tessa's pace. Tessa's club jacket. A runner who even seems to move like her.To clear her name, Tessa must reopen a death from twenty years ago-and the statement she signed knowing it wasn't true. But whoever is framing her doesn't just know the old secret. They know her routes, her habits, her family, and the small physical tells only someone close would notice. Then Tessa's stolen marathon bib appears. On race morning, her number will cross the starting line before she does. And somewhere ahead, another woman is running as Tessa Cole.
