This book teaches quilters how to create spiral quilt designs using shape, colour and dimension; how to plot a spiral template and how to sew a spiral quilt top. The basic template shapes are included on the CD and the pattern insert to help readers set up the perimeter shape, if they want a precise shape. Or, they can draw freehand irregular shapes that don't require a template.Any of the following three methods can be used to create your spiral design: by hand, completely freehand, using only a straight edge for Point-to-point, Pinwheel and Shape-in-Shape spirals; by hand, precisely, using a ruler to measure increments in each spoke for Pinwheel, Shape-in-Shape and Baravelle spirals - not necessary for Point-to-Point spirals; and on the computer - Electric Quilt works great for all types of spirals.
