Sin Nombre

Acclaimed debut feature from writer/director Cary Fukunaga, focusing on the plight of Hondurans making their way through Mexico to try and start lives for themselves in the US. After a reunion with her father, Honduran teenager Sayra (Paulina Gaitan) decides to travel north to stay with relatives in New Jersey. When she meets reluctant gangmember El Caspar (Edgar Flores), eager to leave his criminal life behind, the pair team up for the journey. Part road movie, part gangster film, part love story, this bleak yet humane film paints a vivid picture of the reality of life for would-be immigrants to the United States.
