Bol Slate, an American-born teen, learns that R, the psychopath so obsessed with his beautiful Russian rockstar mama that he attempted to eliminate those around her, has escaped from custody. Because Slate's parents are touring in Europe with their band, the FBI worries that R will attempt to kidnap Slate and use him as bait to lure his mama to the U.S. A nationwide manhunt begins, and the Bureau asks Slate to lie low.
