Social phobia has found its way into the classroom. To date, few school-based intervention strategies have been tested, and teachers need support in dealing with children with social phobia. Given the numerous similarities between the clinical presentations of school anxiety and social phobia, some interventions could be adapted for use in a school setting. This thesis highlights the limitations and possibilities of such adaptability and offers practical guidance for schools on supporting children and young people with social phobia.
