Bol This study on family farming was conducted with the aim of assessing the overall socio-economic situation of family farms in the Senegal River Valley. It was carried out in the villages of Fanaye in the middle valley and Boundoum in the Senegal River delta. The results, presented in five different chapters, showed that the family farms in our sample are generally lacking in means of production, particularly agricultural equipment and skilled labor. Agricultural activities are dominated by rice cultivation. The classification of family farms identified two categories in Fanaye and three categories in Boundoum.
