This book presents the results of a Master's research project in the field of science education, which aimed to analyse the contributions of two open-source software programmes (Celestia and Stellarium) to the teaching of astronomy in primary schools. The results suggest that such resources are capable of making the learning of Astronomy more dynamic, particularly when compared with more conventional approaches, such as the simple oral presentation of Astronomy concepts.
