Songs of Water

In 1870, Sister Elizabeth boarded a train from Ohio to Springfield, Arkansas, determined to deliver a life-changing message to Evening, a woman of Indian and African descent. Her arrival in the post-Civil War South stirred already simmering tensions, challenging the delicate equilibrium of a society struggling to rebuild and redefine itself. Amidst this turmoil, Confederate farmers, yearning to return to their bygone glory, cast covetous eyes on the lush fields of Culver Tusk. However, rumors ripple through the community-Lena, Sylvie, Isabel, Izabal, and Claire, five Black women, have claimed the once-grand plantation as their own. Their presence is a bold defiance of the old social order, igniting the ire and bloodlust of the farmers. Yet, within the boundaries of Culver Tusk, the lines between reality and myth blur.
