In the last forty years, the history teaching profession has undergone significant developments. There has been a change in didactics within the structure of university disciplines and an expansion of cultural history. The concept of education has been expanded to include historical education, political education and cultural education. General teaching became subject teaching with the central factor of "content". History as a subject is institutionally assigned to different disciplines, such as the institutes of educational science/teacher training colleges, history and separate departments/institutes such as cultural history and church history. Structural changes and their scope result from the development of the educational sense, whereby today the learners/students are involved in the creation of meaning, note the combined textbooks and workbooks, the source work with source interpretation, the project work with the learners' own objectives and the expanded competence of historical culture - not only teachers in the classroom, but also educators in archive, museum and memorial site education.
