STRATEGIES and MECHANISMS to combat CORRUPTION in DR CONGO

The issue of corruption addressed in this essay, Stratégies et Mécanismes de lutte contre la corruption en RD Congo (Strategies and Mechanisms for Combating Corruption in the DR Congo), is often presented as one of the great ills affecting the development of African countries. It stands in the way of projects likely to ensure economic and cultural take-off, by diverting resources (human, material and financial) from their ultimate use.The author of this book offers a space for critical reflection on social practices of management or governance, where a plurality of political, economic and socio-educational perspectives converge.Corruption is a sensitive and delicate subject that elicits mixed reactions when we try to stigmatize it by talking about it. Indeed, when this thorny issue is raised, some people try to avoid it, all the more so as it is a universal practice inherent in the history of societies; others, involved in this evil, tend to justify themselves by believing that nothing should be done about corruption; still others, with encouraging reactions, try to analyze concrete situations and imagine solutions.
