Student Portfolio

The 2011 reform of nursing education significantly altered the landscape of training for public health nursing students. To develop the skills required for their future roles, students-in addition to their theoretical training-are supported by healthcare professionals during their placements. The three-year (3) degree programme leads to a vocational bachelor's degree in nursing.This programme, which examines the human person in a holistic manner-whether in health or illness and at all stages of life-places equal emphasis on the humanities, basic sciences, professional sciences and medical-surgical sciences as it does on hospital and non-hospital placements.The placement is a training tool, which implies placement objectives, supervision and assessment. Its ultimate aim remains learning.The portfolio (skills portfolio) is an individual document that belongs to and accompanies each student.
