Studies in Philosophical Anthropology

The place of humans in nature's scheme of things and the conditions and circumstances of our existence have been at the forefront of philosophical deliberation since the very dawn of the subject. Over the past three decades, Rescher from time to time ventured into discussions of some of the key themes that crop up in this domain. A representative sampling of such papers are assembled in the present volume. He trusts that this collection will give some indication of the tenor of thought that characterises Rescher's approach to these philosophically crucial concerns.
