Bol This study examines the participation of local stakeholders in the Small-Scale Irrigation Development Project (PPI-2) in Cerca-la-Source, Haiti. Given the negative effects of centralized irrigation water management by the Haitian government, the Ministry of Agriculture opted for the Social Water Management (SWM) methodology for irrigation. This study aims to understand how local stakeholders participated in the project to facilitate better water management. The study is framed by Laurent Mermet's theory of Strategic Analysis of Environmental Management (ASGE). Several stakeholders were involved in the irrigation system at Cerca-la-Source. The project coordination team worked with a representative group from the various community organizations in the area. External stakeholders were mobilized to contribute their expertise in social water management. This created a dynamic collaboration among multiple stakeholders in irrigation water management.
