Suego Faults

Het debuutalbum Suego Faults van Wolf Gang. De eerste single Lions In Cages is reeds veelvuldig voorbij gekomen bij radiozenders 3FM en KINK. In zijn thuisland Engeland is Wolf Gang omarmd door BBC Radio 1 die zijn singles veel gedraaid heeft. Wolf Gang is de naam van de band rondom de 24-jarige Max McElligot. De klassieke invloeden die terug te horen zijn in de orkestrale productie op het album Suego Faults werden van kinds af aan gevoed door zijn moeder die violiste was in een groot orkest. "When you've seen a symphony orchestra banging out Mozart's Requiem at full blast, created completely acoustically, that can be rousing" zegt hij. "The ridiculous levels of bass produced by the cellos and the choir - you can feel it hit your chest - it definitely had an impact." Suego Faults werd geproduceerd door Dave Fridmann (MGMT, The Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev) die bekend staat om zijn kosmische popsymphoniën. "It's quite a large sound," zegt Max. "There's a gloriousness to the production, and a certain ambition." Door de persoonlijke invloed van Max tijdens de productie is het album orkestraal maar toch licht en poppy geworden, wat uiteindelijk heeft geresulteerd in een co-productie credit voor Max zelf. "I didn't want to make a record for highbrows musos, I wanted one that everyone could enjoy, with good melodies and lyrics" zegt hij tot besluit. "That's all I've ever wanted to do. To make an upbeat summer album that is accessible, only in a credible way."
